This is a super simple pattern using super bulky yarn. I recommend wool or a wool blend yarn like Wool-Ease Thick & Quick from Lion Brand for added stretch.
You'll need:
Half a skein of super bulky yarn
Size US 13 (9mm) needles. Circular or straight
A tapestry needle or crochet hook for seaming
To begin, cast on 14 stitches. You can use whichever method you'd like. I used the long tail cast on but you could also do a provisional cast on to close with a three needle bind-off at the end of the pattern.
Row 1: K4, P6, K4
Row 2: K 14
Row 3: K4, P6, K4
Row 4: K14
Row 5: K4, P6, K4
Row 6: K4, Cable 3 Front, K4
Repeat rows 1-6 until the length of your headband fits comfortably around your head (about 22 inches long).
Bind off and seam your bind off end to the cast on end. That's it! I hope you enjoy this quick and easy pattern and get to work making tons of these for all your friends and family. If you're on Ravelry, click here to share your project.
