Both styles just depend on where you seam her little arms and head. And both configurations are clearly spelled out in the pattern so you can choose the one that your baby recipient will like best!

For this pattern you'll need about 360 yards / 330 meters of a heavy worsted/aran weight yarn like Caron One Pound or Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran and a 5mm and 4mm crochet hook. The 5mm for the blanket and 4mm for the cow's head, feet and other components.
